Bokrivier hugs the foothills of the vast Riviersonderend Mountain range, 20 minutes east of Greyton and 10 minutes west of Riviersonderend.
For generations our family has been privileged to make our home and lively hood on this extraordinary farm. In this age, it just seemed selfish to keep this natural bounty to ourselves, so we have embarked on a journey to share this beauty, in a myriad of exciting ways, with likeminded seekers.
Bokrivier is a 1523 hectare working farm that grows 6 different varieties of pecan nuts and runs a free range beef herd of robust Sussex cattle.
Bokrivier is bounded on the south by the Riviersonderend river and climbs, at first gently, through 300 hectare of virgin Renosterveld, and then steeply, to lofty mountain-fynbos covered peaks.
Your first step is making yourself at home in one of six cottages tucked under Pillarkop (the highest peak of the majestic Riviersonderend Mountain Range) from which you can explore more than 30km of trails Bokrivier has to offer.
Bokrivier landscapes can be explored on Foot or swimming in our dams. More indulgent pursuits include Fishing, Birding, Botaneering or simply Mountain Gazing. Fulfilling days in nature followed by evenings in the kol kol hot tub to absorb the vast expansive night skies.
